Rooted Strength Circle
(Teen Process Group)
Welcome to "Rooted Strength Circle: Nurturing Black Teen Resilience" – a powerful and nurturing space designed exclusively for Black teenagers, where the principles of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) combine with a supportive environment to cultivate emotional mastery, coping skills, and authentic self-expression.
Our comprehensive group format will guide you towards discovering your inner strength and navigating life's challenges with grace and resilience. Through a tailored curriculum inspired by DBT principles, you will explore mindfulness, emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and assertive communication, all while embracing your unique identity and experiences.
The Rooted Strength Circle provides a space where you can freely express your thoughts, emotions, and experiences in an atmosphere that values and celebrates your identity. Guided by experienced facilitators, you will engage in interactive discussions, experiential exercises, and role-playing scenarios that empower you to effectively manage emotions, regulate anger, and assertively express your needs.
By participating in this program, you'll develop a robust toolkit of coping strategies rooted in mindfulness, enhancing your emotional well-being and bolstering your ability to navigate life's twists and turns. As you connect with fellow peers and share insights, you'll build a strong network of support that fosters growth and positive transformation.
This group is facilitated by dedicated therapists who are committed to your teen’s growth and development.
